We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chy ryb Connerton. Rob and Rhoda were excellent hosts.

 

From the minute we made contact with Rob and we had an initial phone call, he filled us with confidence in knowing that we had chosen the right location for our time in that part of Cornwall. The information he sent through was exceptional (directions with photos to the accommodation; ancient stone structures to visit; nearby locations, eateries etc). This allowed us to fully plan our time in the area to maximise our ability to do everything we wanted to do in the time we had available.

We spent a lot of time exploring the local area, including easily manageable daily trips to Land’s End (over-commercialised, but a ‘must’ in my opinion), Lizard Point, and various places along the Tin Coast. We thoroughly enjoyed the local beaches, especially Godrevy – so much sand and so few people! We also popped out for a quick walk one evening and ended up stopping at the Turnpike Inn, just five minutes’ walk from Chy ryb Connerton – very friendly staff and patrons there, who all made us feel very welcome and great draught Rattler cider too!

Chy ryb Connerton itself was a perfect place to unwind in, very clean and tidy with everything we needed close to hand. The living/kitchen area was well laid out and well furnished. The welcome pack Rob and Rhoda laid on was also very gratefully received. The garden was very nicely laid out and beautifully tendered. Views over to the sea in the distance were amazing. The bathroom was bright and very clean and perfectly set out for us. Both bedrooms were of a good size, with the main one having a comfortable bed (we didn’t use the second bedroom’s single bed) and both had very spacious wardrobes. We took Coco, our Bernese Mountain Dog, with us and she was more than happy with the space she had both inside and out.

All-in-all, Rob and Rhoda’s Chy ryb Connerton is highly recommended to all.
